The Streets were Paved with Gold: The Klondike Gold Rush 1896-1899 (VHS Video)

This tape traces the route of stampeders on their trip from Seattle, WA up the Inside Passage to the brawling towns of Skagway and Dyea, over the tortuous Chilkoot and White Passes to the shores of Lake Bennett, BC. Then a float trip down the Yukon River, through dangerous Miles Canyon and Whitehorse Rapids and eventually to the Queen City of the North - Dawson City and the gold fields. Through the use of original 1890’s and 1930’s film footage, dozens of still photos, contemporary narrative and scenes of the sites today this video tells the story of one of the greatest adventures in North American history.
