As winter settles in at last, what could be better reading material for just
before bedtime (or anytime, for that matter) than a clever little book about
some small person’s first experience of the fresh season.
With large text spread over double page paintings, little Mouse discovers
the joys of sledding and skating, as well as making snow angels, snow houses,
and a large snowmouse. All this is presented in simple language on peaceful,
fluffy looking pages.
Warning: if you read this with your little ones, they’ll probably bug you
to go out and do all this stuff.
The “Mouse’s First” series has apparently been around for a while, long enough
to produce books about Christmas, Hallowe’en, school, spring and summer.
