This book falls outside my area of expertise, but will surely appeal to fans of the craft. It's not a “how to” or pattern book, but instead a liberally illustrated anthology of essays, memoirs and reflections on knitting. The craft obviously has a fascination, both practical and artistic, for many people, and is a cross-generational art form, as can be attested from the various ages of the knitters I saw at a recent territorial teachers' meeting.
