Dianne Green, the publisher, and Sam Holloway, editor/printer, have been producing the magazine since July of 1996 under what some might call unique conditions. From 1989 to 1994 Sam was the editor of this magazine's predecessor, The Yukon Reader, for which he won a Yukon Heritage Award. As of this posting, The Yukoner has over 2000 subscribers, mostly in Canada (see Letters). Dianne handles the bookkeeping, subscriptions, mail, and does a lot of copy editing and proofreading. She writes an editorial in each issue and contributes an occasional article. Sam gathers up all the stories and photos for each issue and does some writing when he has time. He then lays out the pages on an old 486 computer, burns the plates on a laser printer, and prints the magazine on an A.B. Dick 360CD press. Our neighbours help with collating, folding, stapling, trimming and stuffing envelopes.
