In 1970, Mark’s parents arrived for a two-year stay in Whitehorse, Yukon. Right around the time they were supposed to leave, Mark was born.
Today, he still lives in his hometown where he routinely visits his folks, who have progressed precisely -1.2 kilometers towards his mother’s long-standing goal to escape the territory. Mark, on the other hand, has a hard time imagining anywhere better to live.
A part-time freelance writer, Mark started writing Yukonography for above&beyond magazine in 2007. Mark also co-writes and co-produces the radio segment Smells Like Yukon for CBC North.
